It's that wonderful time of year again—CSA Week 2025—a national celebration of local farms, fresh food, and the communities that support them. If you've been thinking about joining a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) or are already part of one, this is the perfect moment to deepen your connection to the land and the people who grow your food.

At Peterson Farm, we're proud to have offered our CSA program for years. Many of you have been loyal members since the beginning, and we love being part of your family's weekly routine. In honor of CSA Week 2025, we want to highlight our long-standing CSA—and give you a taste of the incredible bounty you can enjoy throughout the season.

What is CSA Week?

CSA Week is an annual initiative that brings farmers, families, and communities together to celebrate the benefits of Community Supported Agriculture.

  • Origins & Purpose: Although CSA had roots in Europe and Japan in the 1960s, it took hold in the United States in the 1980s. Over time, organizations like the CSA Innovation Network have championed CSA Week to unify and promote these farm-to-table partnerships.
  • What it Represents: During CSA Week, farmers open up or renew their subscription programs, share farm news, and invite community members to experience the freshest local produce. It's a time to raise awareness about the value of sustainable agriculture, support small farms, and strengthen connections between growers and eaters.
  • Why it Matters: By spotlighting CSA programs nationwide, CSA Week helps individuals and families discover how fun and rewarding it is to eat in harmony with the seasons—while directly supporting the dedicated folks who bring food to our tables.

Our Well-Established CSA: A Time-Tested Way to Eat Well

We've been fine-tuning our CSA for quite some time, making it one of the most convenient and cost-effective ways to fill your kitchen with farm-fresh produce every week during our 20-week season.

Why Join Our CSA?
  • Consistency & Quality: After years of running our CSA, we've perfected the art of selecting the right produce mix. You'll always receive a flavorful variety from tender spring asparagus to sweet summer tomatoes and hearty fall squash.
  • Seasoned Expertise: Our harvest and packing process is streamlined because we've done this for so long. You can count on well-curated boxes brimming with just-harvested goodness.
  • Build Community: CSA isn't just a subscription—it's a relationship. By signing up, you're supporting a local farm you can visit, with farmers you'll get to know by name. Plus, you'll meet neighbors who share your passion for fresh, real food.
